Designer Spotlight: Karen Zambos Vintage Couture

Today, Gilt Groupe is featuring designs by Karen Zambos Vintage Couture. Until this morning, I had never heard of Ms. Zambos but after taking a look at the items featured on Gilt, I'm an enormous fan. To learn more about her designs, I perused the Karen Zambos website as well as the very few Zambos items available on Shopbop. From what I can tell, the three words that best describe her designs are luxury, versatility and ease. Every shirt, dress, jumpsuit and romper featured on the website exudes a simple and subtle sensuality while also somehow remaining laid-back and California cool. The dress featured on the right (the Justine Dress) is my absolute favorite. I can imagine wearing it on a date night with my boyfriend and also for a quick Sunday morning trip to Starbucks. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to snag any of Karen's pieces on Gilt (I had my eye on an amazing yellow dress but my size sold out before I could even log in).
